Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors. His incredible plots keep me turning the pages late into the night. CAUGHT is a thriller about the fragility of innocence and the hope of forgiveness.

The novel revolves around Wendy Tynes, a widowed TV reporter with a high school senior son named Charlie. She's known for one of those shows where they trap child predators into coming to a house expecting to see a child but instead are greeted by television cameras and police. When she catches social worker Dan Mercer coming to the house, evidence builds that points to Dan's guilt. But of course, this is a Coben novel, and nothing is as it seems.

Across town, Haley McWaid is disappears from her suburban home. Her parents have no idea where the high school senior could be. Is her disappearance related to Dan or something else all together. And what do Dan Mercer's ex-roommates at Princeton have to do with everything. Wendy begins investigating Dan's friends and discovers even more secrets beneath the surface of the illusion of everyday life.

I guarantee the plot will keep you turning the pages. The twists are fast and furious. Coben throws in a few characters from other novels that are always fun. Wendy Tynes as the lead isn't a great character like some of the leads in THE INNOCENT or NO SECOND CHANCE, but Coben is still at the top of his game. The novel ends powerfully, making me wonder how I would act in a similar situation and making all readers wondering if they would have the strength to forgive after so much tragedy.

Very odd story. The illustrations are fun, but the various labels and assorted miscellaneous text are distracting. It's a short story and fun to read aloud, if you don't get too sidetracked. Otherwise, it's a good book to look at the pictures and point out the things you see.

I am now raising my fourth Maisy fan, and I do consider myself rather an expert on the little white mouse. This is by far our favourite Maisy book – and we do have a few! Three boys all adored her, so how could Ella do anything different? This is a ‘flap n tab’ book, and is just very very sweet. We meet all the animals on the farm, but for once the tabs don’t just reveal a new animal – they have Maisy’s tractor chugging (and convincingly scaring a bird into the air out of the corn), the bottle-fed lamb drinking it’s milk, Maisy clearing the pigpen with a shovel (yes, really!) and our personal favourite, giving the excitable geese a drink. Sadly, Ella has just loved our copy a little too much, and it is much the worse for it – this is definitely one that will have to be replaced.

My comment:
Despite the negative commentary from some reviewers, I say the real truth comes in the "true raters"--the children!! My 2+ yr old daughter was given this book as a gift (that she picked out in the bookstore). She absolutely loves it, and in the month that we've had it, we've read it nearly 50 times at her request. She loves the colors and the transparency overlays, and definitely points out the "daddy" seahorse (as well as the "mommy") every time we read it together. Her favorite page is the last one as Mr. Seahorse releases his babies with love and points out that it's time for the little ones to be on their own. She simply adores this book!

Given the commentary of many of the reviewers on the father fish "babysitting" the baby fish....If you do look to nature, many animals (and many male animals) do abandon their offspring...so I saw the book more as personifying family in nature rather than making a sexist commentary on fatherhood, patriarchal society, or gender roles in parenting.

Likewise, with older children, it could be a great springboard for discussions on responsibility and caring. I plan to use it in this manner in my 3rd grade class this year. It's at this point a person could discuss the phrasing, and talk about the parental role--moms and dads both babysit at times while the other does an errand...and "babysit" is a term children understand.

Perhaps at times, we can get so caught up in being politically correct, that we miss the forest through the trees, or miss a great book on an over-exaggerated technicality that's taken too seriously.

My comment:
This was a charming read and one of my favorites for today. The story is about a small cloud - aka Cloudette. She is not able to do all the things the other bigger clouds can do nor does she necessarily want to do them.
She wants to find her place in the world. After trying to make her mark with no luck, she pursues a new direction thanks to the wind. Then she finds something to really go after which earns her the attention of the bigger clouds. Lovely illustrations work to enhance and bring alive the text.

This book is loverly book. I gives this for 4 or 5 year old kids a great introduction to some scientific ideas in a very simple way. It is beautifully illustrated and is a 'must have' if your child wants to know why things are the way they are.

They are brilliant for boys who love facts but sweet enough for girls too.

My Book Comment:
Ashlyn has always known when bad things are going to happen. The doctor had called them trances or visions. Ashlyn and her older sister Kyra have been falling in to trances and having visions since they were little. Ashlyn has had trances all her life. When trances come, she just sees bits and pieces of when a future accident or death might occur. She can’t do anything and has never been able to control or prevent any of her visions from coming true, not even the car accident that killed her mother. After car crash, Ashlyn was seriously injured and her mother died.
When Ashlyn returns home from the hospital, she found life changed. Kyra had taken off and had moved out without any trace. Her father is always gone for work, and doesn’t talk or have much time for her. Ashlyn is left alone really and once have trances of another event that she does want to put it stop. She just doesn’t have an idea how to deal with them. The situation she was in that makes me felt sympathized.
This book is really about how to find yourself and take control of your life. Ashlyn has to learn to deal with everything that is going on and to take control of what happens to her. More important thing is how to connect with friends and figure out the hard time with her father. She knew she could do nothing about what she saw from her trances, but she have to learning to forgive her for what happened. It is not her fault. Once again learning to open up to people and learning to stand up for ourselves that might help. This is an interesting book for me. It includes some tragic and romantic content I do love and enjoy. I recommend it and hope you will do so.

She tried all of them in wedding dress shop. Everyone had run out of ideas.

In that moment, she told Sue and mum she got an idea. She wanted to wear one she designed.
When she got home, she laid out some paper on the ground in her room and starting to drawn what she wanted. She pinned the note on her door.

In the Auntie's wedding day, she wore the dress she designed. It was green silk and came with a black ninja headband maximum confetti action belt.

My Comment:
I love this book. It brings me back to my childhood. When I was kid, my parents would make the deal for what they want me to do. Sometime they think your idea was not good beacause I was kid. She is adorable child. She maked a wonderful idea and did a good job. She did what she really want to do. I think it is life. We have to do what we want to do with our passions, even jobs or everything.

My Comment:

You might have this kind of questions in your mind long time ago. Regarding many people point of views, they could not quit what they own or hold in the hand. Because mainstream tells us must coloring inside the line. So we will be afraid to lose some things we already have. That’s why I love this book so much.
If no limitation in your mind, I think you should choose your new world you really want. The book is talking about the trip author has been experiencing and what’s happened during. Author found happiness and self-confidence after trip. She has been suffering the pain of divorce. Then she quit her jobs and plan traveling for one year. She went to three countries, three countries (Italy, India and Indonesia). In Italy, she enjoyed the food. In India, she found true happiness and peace. In Indonesia, she found soul mate. After the trip she got a huge change in her mind. So I recommend it. You will love it.

This book descript golden retriever whose name is Tinka. She loves the little boy, and do not want to separate with him. Every day she is sad to watch him going to school.
One day she goes to school and gets all things chaos, makes teachers mad at her. Finally they decided to read book for her. And she becomes a good dog.
Tinka’s story tells us reading can let clam and get more fun. I recommend this book strongly. I also like the rhyme in it.

My Comment:

I bought it long time ago. This weekend I had to go to my brother's house to help him look after my nephew and some kids. So I found it and read it again. They always have outside activities. I thought they could have different activities because of me. This book can inspire them to learn new things and know how things which are in our life work. I was happy they were quite excited with me. I just showed them and explain some intresting stuff. And more important thing is let them make their own paper car and airplane. They did nice job as well. It was a happy weekend for us!

My Uncle gave this book to me for gift when I was a kid. I thought I still feel interested in it. The Earth is such as a magician who can change color of each season because of the Earth around sun. Follow this book first you are going to know how trees change in each season and lifestyle of various animals even plants. I love illustration of this book. It is cute and vivid for me. My Comment:
This book will make you feel shudder not bloody. I couldn’t put it down this book, either. This book describes a person who has mental illness is stalking prey in the streets of Manhattan. There are four women who disappeared by some reasons. They might be died. One day a boy who is called Mack has been also missing for 10 years, but he gives his mother once call in Mother's Day every year. He told to his mother that he is fine; Please do not look for him.
However, Carolyn (Mack's sister) also thinks that things are so strange, she found New York Police, even private detective, to search where Mack is now. Unfortunately, she couldn’t find him. Carolyn did not give up finding Mack. Her resistance will push her to dangerous situation.
Does Mack still alive? If yes, what happened to him, and why everyone can’t find him? He is a killer or not? If not, who would make many disappeared victims? So many questions you must figure out, you can’t stop reading.
Mary Higgins Clark is leading the readers into the world of suspense and mystery, so that the readers’ heart is pounding fast, want to clarify the reason of all questions, and let readers caught by the story.In the suspense novel, the author Mary Higgins Clark is a very nice author, I like each plot of this novel and never make me feel bored.

My Comment:
This is a great book for class or family if you are interested in earthquakes and/or volcanoes. The book is divided into three parts: the Dynamic Earth (dealing with the inner earth); Earthquakes; and Volcanoes. I love the vivid illustrations and photos than my nephew does. I will show you some parts of the book introducing as below.
First Part:
-Do you know how the planets in our solar system formed?
-How do some collisions between plates from volcanoes?
-Can a continent really split in half? What happens when it does?
-What happens when sections of the crust collide?
-When rock layers move in different directions, faults form. What type of fault is this?
-Did you realize that this island is the top of a volcano?

My comment:
This book is written by Nicholas Sparks who is one of my favorite writers. I like the structure of this story. It is not a typical love story; boy and girl meet each other and fall in love, and then separated by parents. A few years later, they meet again and get married then have a happy life forever. I think it is quite different. In 1932, Noah Calhoun and Allie Nelson who are teenagers fall in love. They are separated by some reasons for few years. Noah joins the WWII, after that, Allie has his news from newspaper. She goes to see what’s going on with him. Do you think they will be together again? Why doesn’t Noah write Allie? Any misunderstanding is between both? We have to go on reading for curiosity.
This book will catch your eyes and can’t put it away. It makes you imagine you were Noah or Allie that you were dancing each other on the center of street. That’s so romantic sense. You will love this book, but must prepare tissues to wiping away tears.

My Comment:
Camilla Cream, who is a little girl, always do things as her classmates do. She is always worried about how people think about her. She tries 42 clothes at night before school. She finds which cloth she wants. But she gets in trouble. Her body has lots of stripes with many colors. Her mom finds many doctors to check her out. They could not cure her. It gives us two points of view. We don't worry about how other people think of us too much. What professors told is only for reference. Only you really understand yourself. You must be yourself. You can watch to video skimming the book.
Author uses crazy story and vivid drawing to show his idea for kids, even adult. It is a nice book for all of us.
