Gary changes everything: he takes up way too much space and makes a mess of all of Owen's toys. Gary means well, though, and eventually Owen starts to see that there are some good things about having a bear in the family.

Because Gary is such an unusual addition to the family, this story will appeal to kids getting used to any kind of new family member, be it a baby, grandparent, pet, or even sharing with a friend. Refreshing humor, expressive illustrations, and characters full of personality make this warm, funny debut a book that will be treasured.

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=thesecgar-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=0399252576&ref=tf_til&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 258px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bsxdQw3NxjE/TgF827qvg-I/AAAAAAAABAQ/hoqbG6wCMDU/s320/Bear%2Bwith%2BMe_9780399252570.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620911093106836450" />

written by Max Kornell
ISBN:9780399252570

Comments:
"I had a mom and a dad and my own set of blocks," a redheaded boy reflects at the outset of Kornell's first picture book. "I had everything I needed." And then... no, it's not a new sibling that upsets the apple cart; it's a huge bear named Gary, who, according to the narrator's parents, makes the family "complete." But this is a displacement story with a twist: while Gary does cause all kinds of trouble (requiring constant parental attention, snoring, leaving caps off markers), the bear isn't a blithe or oblivious usurper; in fact, from his sad-sack eyes and hesitant posture, he looks seriously out of place. Could it be that Gary needs a friend? Portraying vulnerability without making one's characters look like whiners or wusses is no easy task, but Kornell succeeds. With a sadly matter-of-fact text and pictures composed of cutout images on painted backgrounds, he sets a sweetly plaintive mood that makes even the expected happy ending ("Maybe surprises are not so bad") quietly gratifying. It's not a flashy debut, but it's a promising one. from publisher weekly~Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-47308594816639154232011-06-21T06:01:00.000-07:002011-06-21T06:14:09.291-07:00Firefighter Frank Board Book EditionDescription:
Bright pictures of a firefighter and his big red truck make this board book perfect for the very youngest. His incredible plots keep me turning the pages late into the night. CAUGHT is a thriller about the fragility of innocence and the hope of forgiveness.

The novel revolves around Wendy Tynes, a widowed TV reporter with a high school senior son named Charlie. She's known for one of those shows where they trap child predators into coming to a house expecting to see a child but instead are greeted by television cameras and police. When she catches social worker Dan Mercer coming to the house, evidence builds that points to Dan's guilt. But of course, this is a Coben novel, and nothing is as it seems.

Across town, Haley McWaid is disappears from her suburban home. Her parents have no idea where the high school senior could be. Is her disappearance related to Dan or something else all together. And what do Dan Mercer's ex-roommates at Princeton have to do with everything. Wendy begins investigating Dan's friends and discovers even more secrets beneath the surface of the illusion of everyday life.

I guarantee the plot will keep you turning the pages. The twists are fast and furious. Coben throws in a few characters from other novels that are always fun. Wendy Tynes as the lead isn't a great character like some of the leads in THE INNOCENT or NO SECOND CHANCE, but Coben is still at the top of his game. The novel ends powerfully, making me wonder how I would act in a similar situation and making all readers wondering if they would have the strength to forgive after so much tragedy.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-43637728094806438032011-06-14T08:06:00.000-07:002011-06-14T08:15:15.209-07:00The Strange Case of the Missing SheepDescription:
1, 2, 3 . . . hey, where'd all the sheep go??

In a place called Happy Valley, there live ten sheep. Doug, the Super Sheep Dog, is on the case in this fun mystery for ages 3 and up that blends in basic counting.

Very odd story. The illustrations are fun, but the various labels and assorted miscellaneous text are distracting. It's a short story and fun to read aloud, if you don't get too sidetracked. This is by far our favourite Maisy book – and we do have a few! Three boys all adored her, so how could Ella do anything different? This is a ‘flap n tab’ book, and is just very very sweet. We meet all the animals on the farm, but for once the tabs don’t just reveal a new animal – they have Maisy’s tractor chugging (and convincingly scaring a bird into the air out of the corn), the bottle-fed lamb drinking it’s milk, Maisy clearing the pigpen with a shovel (yes, really!) and our personal favourite, giving the excitable geese a drink. Sadly, Ella has just loved our copy a little too much, and it is much the worse for it – this is definitely one that will have to be replaced.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-72068619982213567692011-06-09T20:32:00.000-07:002011-06-13T06:37:08.710-07:00Mister SeahorseDescription:
When Mrs. Seahorse lays her eggs, she does it on Mr. Seahorse's belly! My 2+ yr old daughter was given this book as a gift (that she picked out in the bookstore). She absolutely loves it, and in the month that we've had it, we've read it nearly 50 times at her request. She loves the colors and the transparency overlays, and definitely points out the "daddy" seahorse (as well as the "mommy") every time we read it together. Her favorite page is the last one as Mr. Seahorse releases his babies with love and points out that it's time for the little ones to be on their own. She simply adores this book!

Given the commentary of many of the reviewers on the father fish "babysitting" the baby fish....If you do look to nature, many animals (and many male animals) do abandon their offspring...so I saw the book more as personifying family in nature rather than making a sexist commentary on fatherhood, patriarchal society, or gender roles in parenting.

Likewise, with older children, it could be a great springboard for discussions on responsibility and caring. I plan to use it in this manner in my 3rd grade class this year. It's at this point a person could discuss the phrasing, and talk about the parental role--moms and dads both babysit at times while the other does an errand...and "babysit" is a term children understand.

Perhaps at times, we can get so caught up in being politically correct, that we miss the forest through the trees, or miss a great book on an over-exaggerated technicality that's taken too seriously.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-79053481586318661532011-05-15T18:25:00.000-07:002011-06-13T06:39:44.168-07:00CloudetteDescription:
Sometimes being small can have its advantages. And as her trances escalate, one thing becomes clear: it's up to her to save Jake from near-certain death.

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=thesecgar-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=0142414158&ref=tf_til&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

My Book Comment:
Ashlyn has always known when bad things are going to happen. The doctor had called them trances or visions. Ashlyn and her older sister Kyra have been falling in to trances and having visions since they were little. Ashlyn has had trances all her life. When trances come, she just sees bits and pieces of when a future accident or death might occur. She can’t do anything and has never been able to control or prevent any of her visions from coming true, not even the car accident that killed her mother. After car crash, Ashlyn was seriously injured and her mother died.
When Ashlyn returns home from the hospital, she found life changed. Kyra had taken off and had moved out without any trace. Her father is always gone for work, and doesn’t talk or have much time for her. Ashlyn is left alone really and once have trances of another event that she does want to put it stop. She just doesn’t have an idea how to deal with them. The situation she was in that makes me felt sympathized.
This book is really about how to find yourself and take control of your life. Ashlyn has to learn to deal with everything that is going on and to take control of what happens to her. More important thing is how to connect with friends and figure out the hard time with her father. She knew she could do nothing about what she saw from her trances, but she have to learning to forgive her for what happened. It is not her fault. Once again learning to open up to people and learning to stand up for ourselves that might help. This is an interesting book for me. It includes some tragic and romantic content I do love and enjoy. I recommend it and hope you will do so.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-76262251379075370852010-11-17T17:25:00.001-08:002010-11-17T18:11:32.151-08:00Yuk!Written by Kes Gray
Illustrated by Nick Sharratt

ISBN: 9780370327907
Description:
Auntie Sue is getting married and Daisy is to be her bridesmaid. Elizabeth Gilbert tells how she made the difficult choice to leave behind all the trappings of modern American success (marriage, house in the country, career) and find, instead, what she truly wanted from life. Setting out for a year to study three different aspects of her nature amid three different cultures, Gilbert explored the art of pleasure in Italy and the art of devotion in India, and then a balance between the two on the Indonesian island of Bali. By turns rapturous and rueful, this wise and funny author (whom Booklist calls "Anne Lamott’s hip, yoga- practicing, footloose younger sister") is poised to garner yet more adoring fans.

My Comment:
If the world around you is not out of control for you, what and how can you do? Avoid it? Overcome it? Or is it time to find a new world as good as it will be? Or take on vacation for travelling? You might have this kind of questions in your mind long time ago. Regarding many people point of views, they could not quit what they own or hold in the hand. Because mainstream tells us must coloring inside the line. So we will be afraid to lose some things we already have. That’s why I love this book so much.
If no limitation in your mind, I think you should choose your new world you really want. The book is talking about the trip author has been experiencing and what’s happened during. Author found happiness and self-confidence after trip. She has been suffering the pain of divorce. Then she quit her jobs and plan traveling for one year. She went to three countries, three countries (Italy, India and Indonesia). In Italy, she enjoyed the food. In India, she found true happiness and peace. In Indonesia, she found soul mate. After the trip she got a huge change in her mind. So I recommend it. You will love it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-54030061551780371912010-10-12T18:52:00.000-07:002010-10-12T19:21:38.787-07:00Cool Dog, School DogStory by Deborah Heiligman
Illustrations by Tim Bowers
Author interview:

Author reads book to her dog

ISBN: 978-0-7614-5561-5
Description:
Tinka is a cool dog, a school dog, a breaking-all-the-rules dog.A hall dog, a ball dog, a crash-into-the-wall dog.Join Tinka, a dandy, sandy Golden Retriever, as she unexpectedly visits her owner at school and helps his class learn to read. This weekend I had to go to my brother's house to help him look after my nephew and some kids. So I found it and read it again. They always have outside activities. I thought they could have different activities because of me. This book can inspire them to learn new things and know how things which are in our life work. I was happy they were quite excited with me. I just showed them and explain some intresting stuff. And more important thing is let them make their own paper car and airplane. They did nice job as well. A Columbia University senior, about to graduate and already accepted at Duke University Law School, he walked out of his apartment on Manhattan's Upper West Side without a word to his college roommates and has never been seen again. However, he does make one ritual phone call to his mother every year: on Mother's Day. Each time, he assures her he is fine, refuses to answer her frantic questions, then hangs up. Even the death of his father, a corporate lawyer, in the tragedy of 9/11 does not bring him home or break the pattern of his calls.

Mack's sister, Carolyn, is now twenty-six, a law school graduate, and has just finished her clerkship for a civil court judge in Manhattan. She has endured two family tragedies, yet she realizes that she will never be able to have closure and get on with her life until she finds her brother. She resolves to discover what happened to Mack and why he has found it necessary to hide from them. So this year when Mack makes his annual Mother's Day call, Carolyn interrupts to announce her intention to track him down, no matter what it takes. The next morning after Mass, her uncle, Monsignor Devon MacKenzie, receives a scrawled message left in the collection basket: "Uncle Devon, tell Carolyn she must not look for me."

Mack's cryptic warning does nothing to deter his sister from taking up the search, despite the angry reaction of her mother, Olivia, and the polite disapproval of Elliott Wallace, Carolyn's honorary uncle, who is clearly in love with Olivia.

Carolyn's pursuit of the truth about Mack's disappearance swiftly plunges her into a world of unexpected danger and unanswered questions. What is the secret that Gus and Lil Kramer, the superintendents of the building in which Mack was living, have to hide? What do Mack's old roommates, the charismatic club owner Nick DeMarco and the cold and wealthy real estate tycoon Bruce Galbraith, know about Mack's disappearance? Is Nick connected to the disappearance of Leesey Andrews, who had last been seen in his trendy club? Can the police possibly believe that Mack is not only alive, but a serial killer, a shadowy predator of young women? Was Mack also guilty of the brutal murder of his drama teacher and the theft of his taped sessions with her?

Carolyn's passionate search for the truth about her brother -- and for her brother himself -- leads her into a deadly confrontation with someone close to her whose secret he cannot allow her to reveal.

My Comment:
This book will make you feel shudder not bloody. I couldn’t put it down this book, either. This book describes a person who has mental illness is stalking prey in the streets of Manhattan. There are four women who disappeared by some reasons. They might be died. One day a boy who is called Mack has been also missing for 10 years, but he gives his mother once call in Mother's Day every year. He told to his mother that he is fine; Please do not look for him.
However, Carolyn (Mack's sister) also thinks that things are so strange, she found New York Police, even private detective, to search where Mack is now. Unfortunately, she couldn’t find him. Carolyn did not give up finding Mack. Her resistance will push her to dangerous situation.
Does Mack still alive? If yes, what happened to him, and why everyone can’t find him? He is a killer or not? If not, who would make many disappeared victims? So many questions you must figure out, you can’t stop reading.
Mary Higgins Clark is leading the readers into the world of suspense and mystery, so that the readers’ heart is pounding fast, want to clarify the reason of all questions, and let readers caught by the story. In the suspense novel, the author Mary Higgins Clark is a very nice author, I like each plot of this novel and never make me feel bored.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-28989645668973434312010-09-30T09:41:00.000-07:002010-09-30T21:19:10.600-07:00Pathfinders: Earthquakes & VolcanoesWritten by Lin Sutherland

Class for Earthquakes & Volcanoes-1(not sure using this book)

Class for Earthquakes & Volcanoes-2(not sure using this book)

Class for Earthquakes & Volcanoes-3(not sure using this book)

Class for Earthquakes & Volcanoes-4(not sure using this book)

ISBN: 978-0794402655
Description:
ARE YOU READY TO ROCK AND ROLL?

Because that's what's happening beneath your feet every day, even though most of the time you can't feel it. Giant plates on the surface of our planet are always afloat on the soft, hot rock of Earth's interior. Sometimes the plates grind against each other and suddenly shift position -- that's what makes an earthquake. Other times, hot rock seeps through a gap in the plates and bursts onto the surface as a volcano. You're about to learn more about Earth's amazing, shifting surface in Earthquakes and Volcanoes.

The forces that unleash earthquakes and volcanoes are among the most powerful in nature. Did you know that an earthquake can have 400 times the power of all the nuclear bombs ever exploded? Or that a single volcanic eruption can change the weather around the world? These pages offer plenty of fascinating facts to get you thinking, and that's just the start. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at some amazing scientific discoveries in the "Inside Story" sections, or find out how to put some science to the test in the "Hands On" features. You can read up on a topic, and then jump straight to a related yet different one.

My Comment:
This is a great book for class or family if you are interested in earthquakes and/or volcanoes. The book is divided into three parts: the Dynamic Earth (dealing with the inner earth); Earthquakes; and Volcanoes. I love the vivid illustrations and photos than my nephew does. I will show you some parts of the book introducing as below.
First Part:
-Do you know how the planets in our solar system formed?
-How do some collisions between plates from volcanoes?
-Can a continent really split in half? What happens when it does?
-What happens when sections of the crust collide?
-When rock layers move in different directions, faults form. What type of fault is this?
-Did you realize that this island is the top of a volcano?
Second Part:
-Where do earthquakes begin?
-Earthquakes under the sea can create huge waves. What are they called?
-What kind of seismic wave moves the land from side to side?
-What kinds of buildings resist earthquakes best?
-Most earthquakes occur at the edges of tectonic plates. Is there an earthquake zone near you?
-Why do earthquakes occur regularly along the west coast of the United States?
-The highest mountain in Japan is also a volcano. What is it called?
Third Part:
-What kind of eruption is this?
-Did you know that volcanoes make bombs?
-Whey would you need a gas mask near a volcano?
-Which volcano spread ash around the globe in 1991?
-Why do parts of Earth spout like a boiling kettle?
-Would you recognize an ancient volcano if you saw one?
-By studying lava under a microscope, scientists can learn about Earth's interior.
-On which Pacific island did the longest flank eruption in history occur?
-How have volcanoes helped us to learn about ancient civilizations?
-Did you know that spreading along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge is tearing an island apart?
-On May 18, 1980, one of the century's largest eruptions occurred in the U.S.A. What was name of the volcano?
-Did you know that you can see traces of volcanic activity on the face of the Moon?

I like to know what kind of place we live. It is not too hard to study the book. I also share the class video for you. I hope you like it and enjoy it. Good luck.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-1126623808284292362010-09-27T01:27:00.001-07:002010-09-30T09:40:57.874-07:00The NotebookWritten by Nicholas Sparks
The video is the movie trailer:

ISBN: 978-0446605236
Description:
"Somewhere," muses Noah Calhoun, while sitting on his porch in the moonight, "there were people making love." The Notebook, a Southern-fried story of love-lost-and-found-again, revolves around a single time-honored romantic dilemma: will beautiful Allison Nelson stay with Mr. Respectability (to whom she happens to be engaged), or will she choose Noah, the romantic rascal she left so many years ago?

My comment:
This book is written by Nicholas Sparks who is one of my favorite writers. I like the structure of this story. It is not a typical love story; boy and girl meet each other and fall in love, and then separated by parents. A few years later, they meet again and get married then have a happy life forever. I think it is quite different. In 1932, Noah Calhoun and Allie Nelson who are teenagers fall in love. They are separated by some reasons for few years. Noah joins the WWII, after that, Allie has his news from newspaper. She goes to see what’s going on with him. Do you think they will be together again? Why doesn’t Noah write Allie? Any misunderstanding is between both? We have to go on reading for curiosity.
This book will catch your eyes and can’t put it away. It makes you imagine you were Noah or Allie that you were dancing each other on the center of street. That’s so romantic sense. You will love this book, but must prepare tissues to wiping away tears.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-21952304361049012022010-09-24T00:52:00.001-07:002010-09-25T08:46:25.510-07:00A Bad Case of StripesWritten by David Shannon

Video of the book

ISBN: 978-0439598385
Description:
Camilla Cream loves lima beans, but she never eats them. Why? Because the other kids in her school don't like them. And Camilla Cream is very, very worried about what other people think of her. In fact, she's so worried that she's about to break out in…a bad case of stripes!

My Comment:
Camilla Cream, who is a little girl, always do things as her classmates do. She is always worried about how people think about her. She tries 42 clothes at night before school. She finds which cloth she wants. But she gets in trouble. Her body has lots of stripes with many colors. Her mom finds many doctors to check her out. They could not cure her. It gives us two points of view. We don't worry about how other people think of us too much. What professors told is only for reference. Only you really understand yourself. You must be yourself. You can watch to video skimming the book.
Author uses crazy story and vivid drawing to show his idea for kids, even adult. It is a nice book for all of us.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-24329398563720024072010-09-19T08:20:00.000-07:002010-09-22T21:22:51.796-07:00The Dancing BearWritten by Michael Morpurgo
Illustrated by Christian Birmingham

ISBN: 978-000674511

Description:

A gentle and deeply moving story of a young girl and her bear, told with great charm by a master storyteller. High in the mountains, in a tiny village, an abandoned bear cub is adopted by a lonely orphan child. Soon they are inseparable, beloved by the whole village -- safe, until the arrival of a glamorous film crew who need a dancing bear!

My Comment:

The story featured an orphaned bear cub. And Roxanne(7-year-old) who lives alone with her 'dour and unloving' grandfather in the French Pyrenees. Life is ruled by the mountains, sheep, snow and drought there. She finds and adopts the bear cub(his name is Bruno). Her fatger opposed initially that she want to keep Bruno the bear cub. One person who has a different idea thinks keeping the bear cub will bring some positive benefits. So her father was convinced by that.

Years later, Roxanne who a sweet girl sings like an angel. Finally, the media find and interest, the outside world intervenes: Bruno is to become a performing, dancing bear and Roxanne a singing star. This a very moving tale.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-86606104682827944842010-09-19T06:58:00.000-07:002010-09-20T00:08:38.929-07:00Change of HeartChange of Heart:A Novel
Written by Jodi Picoult

ISBN: 978-1845070830
Description:
The acclaimed #1 New York Times bestselling author presents a spellbinding tale of a mother's tragic loss and one man's last chance at gaining salvation.

Can we save ourselves, or do we rely on others to do it? Is what we believe always the truth?

One moment June Nealon was happily looking forward to years full of laughter and adventure with her family, and the next, she was staring into a future that was as empty as her heart. Now her life is a waiting game. Waiting for time to heal her wounds, waiting for justice. In short, waiting for a miracle to happen.

For Shay Bourne, life holds no more surprises. The world has given him nothing, and he has nothing to offer the world. In a heartbeat, though, something happens that changes everything for him. Now, he has one last chance for salvation, and it lies with June's eleven-year-old daughter, Claire. But between Shay and Claire stretches an ocean of bitter regrets, past crimes, and the rage of a mother who has lost her child.

Would you give up your vengeance against someone you hate if it meant saving someone you love? Would you want your dreams to come true if it meant granting your enemy's dying wish?

Once again, Jodi Picoult mesmerizes and enthralls readers with this story of redemption, justice, and love.

The author was talking about this book.

My Comment:
Jodi Picoult's the book (Change of Heart) around an “angelic” (not really) death row, he has a deep desire is to donate his heart to his victim's sister. Is it challenge for the victim? Yes, for the victim that agrees or not is kind of inner torment. Death row wants to create a miracle in this way, and want to achieve the purpose of inner atonement himself. Is it really good way from a prisoner to the Messiah in this way? How does the mother of a dying sister make decision? She asked herself whether they could put away hatred and accept the executed the donated heart of a prisoner who killed her other child.
Jodi Picoult is good to use the short chapters explaining her point of view. She shows up that a new ethical issues - the death penalty. This book describes the situation of both parties in court, it is full of dramatic plot, and an unbelievable result in the end of the book. Even thought I am not interested in the law and religion, I love this book.
If you like philosophy, religion or law, you can try to read this book!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-1823123763109792152010-09-14T01:19:00.000-07:002010-09-19T08:15:43.146-07:00Looking After LouisWritten by Rita Marshall
Illustrated by Etienne Delessert

ISBN: 978-1845070830

Description:

"There's a new boy at school called Louis. Louis sits next to me and I look after him. He's not quite like the rest of us. Sometimes I wonder what he's thinking about. He often just sits and stares at the wall. If I ask him what he's looking at he says, 'Looking at' and carries on looking." This introduction to the issue of autism shows how - through imagination, kindness, and a special game of football - Louis's classmates find a way to join him in his world. Then they can include Louis in theirs.

Comment:

I haven't know the autistic students. When I read this book, I realize what is Autism and which symptoms they have. This is a good book for class. People have to know how to treat the other and care how other people feel not being selfish. When Louis who has autism goes to a school his classmates try very hard to understand him. They want to include him in their activities but they don't know how. One girl offers him crayons, and suggests he draw. Sooner Louis could draw pictures and play football with his classmates. This book is a valuable leason for young readers. I recommand it!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7262134284666202449.post-73131492383499655082010-09-13T01:12:00.001-07:002010-09-19T08:15:35.358-07:00Pond Life (Cycles of Life)Written by David Stewart & Mark Bergin
Illustrated by Carolyn Scrace

ISBN: 978-0531148433

Description:
Explore the world of a pond from the plants that provide food and shelter to the many different creatures that develop, breed, and hunt beneath the water.

Comment:
I think it is good book for classroom. Alway has. Or at least, that's what everyone but his faithful dog Paige has been led to believe. But Victor has a secret....In this sequel to the popular I Hate to Read!, young Victor Dickens, who publicly claims to hate reading, continues his imaginative literary adventures while accompanied by his dog Paige.

Comment:
The book's title is "I Still Hate to Read" that is about a little boy (Victor) do not like reading books, but it does not really mean Victor is not like to read. In fact, Victor just do not like to do homework, do not like following his mother's book list. This mentioned he has the secret friends, such as a rabbit, crocodile, parrot and mouse. The only one to share feelings with him is his pet - lioness, its name is Page.
One day the teacher gave them assignment to bring lion's stuff to aid reading class, then read a book about a lion, Victor decided to take Page to class; Finally his reading score is A+; we take a look at him how he's done.
The book's style is very special, very lively, imaginative content of the story!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2
